Tina Douroudian is a thorough optometrist working in New York, NY. She received her doctoral degree from the State University of New York. While at the university, she also completed an internship in ocular disease and a second internship in pediatric vision therapy and low vision.
Dr. Douroudian specializes in special needs and pediatric patients. She often performs spectacle refraction, dilated retinal exams for hypertensive and diabetic patients, complicated contact lens fittings (including soft astigmatic correction and multifocal lenses), dry eye evaluations, and glaucoma evaluations in addition to regular eye exams. She uses optical coherence tomography, visual fields, and fundus photography technologies to study optic nerves and aid in treatment of nerve diseases such as glaucoma. Dr. Douroudian’s goal as doctor is to educate her patients on their conditions so that they can understand and participate in their treatments.
In her time off, Dr. Douroudian enjoys photography, cooking, and working out. She owns a Dachshund/Pomeranian mix dog named Peanut.
