I am a graduate of Harvard Medical School and the Johns Hopkins Psychiatry residency program, and board-certified in psychiatry. I have over fifteen years combined experience in psychiatry and medicine, and work with adults of all ages and adolescents 16 and older. I treat depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, eating disorders, chronic pain, substance abuse, and psychotic disorders.
I also treat psychiatric issues related to medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, post-stroke, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's dementia, epilepsy, endocrine and autoimmune disorders, and cancer. I work with individuals, couples, and families to address their relationship or career issues.
My practice style: I tailor the treatment to each person’s unique situation. This may involve psychotherapy, medication management, group therapy, or a combination. I encourage an assertive and collaborative treatment style; this leads to faster recovery, and the strength and resilience to overcome life's challenges.
I do not participate in insurance panels; however, my services are reimbursable by most health plans that offer out-of-network coverage. I will assist with maximizing reimbursements but patients are responsible for confirming their coverage, and for filing insurance claims. This policy protects the nature and privacy of your treatment from third parties.
