Dr. Sharma graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology in 2004. After completing her undergraduate, Dr. Sharma was involved in research at the Fels Cancer Institute at Temple University, while pursuing her masters in Microbiology and Immunology at Thomas Jefferson University. In 2010, she graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine with several honors and scholarships, earning her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Sharma completed her residency training at an intensive podiatric foot and ankle medicine and surgery program at Hoboken University Medical Center. Here, she spent three years training extensively in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery, Trauma, Sports Medicine, and Diabetic Limb Salvage. Dr. Sharma is certified in foot and ankle arthroscopic techniques, in addition, to performing minimally invasive techniques such as platelet rich plasma, laser procedures for nail fungus and warts, and radiofrequency nerve ablation. She has also trained in total ankle replacements for severe ankle arthritis.
Dr. Sharma is a CMET certified Fellow of the American Physicians in Wound Healing. She is passionate about academics and is heavily involved in training residents at Hoboken UMC and New York Downtown Hospital. Her interests also include fusion cooking, dancing, and painting.
