Sam has been a physical therapist for over 15 years starting out in 1998 at the outpatient center at Beth Israel Hospital. Sam thinks of physical therapy as a combination of art and science. There's of course the medical training, but because every 'body' is different, creativity plays a huge role in how he treats a client, whether the goal is to improve performance and/or stay pain-free.
Sam believes treating the whole body (as opposed to just the source of pain) will give the client an improved long term solution to overall wellness. "Our body works as unit and every part is connected so we should treat it as a unit" he says. He believes in using his hands for healing. He has advanced training in Maitland spinal mobilization and Barnes Myofascial Release. Sam is Active Release Technique certified. Sam is also a certified golf fitness instructor by the Titleist Perfomance Institute in Oceanside, CA.
