Dr. Rukmini (Vinaya) Rednam is a board-certified plastic surgeon in the Houston and the Woodlands, TX area. Early in her education, Dr. Rednam was accepted into the highly competitive Conley Scholars Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia, which earned her a position in the combined baccalaureate-medical program.
Completing her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Dr. Rednam graduated Cum Laude from the Honors College and started her medical education at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. On receiving her Doctorate of Medicine, Dr. Rednam graduated at the top 25% of her class and matched to the competitive six years integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery program at the University of Kentucky. Under the direct guidance of Dr. Henry C. Vasconez, Dr. Rednam won the “Resident Teaching Award” and participated in many research projects.
In addition to her formal plastic surgery training, Dr. Rednam completed a one-year training at the University of Florida for a Fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery. During this time, she refined her technique in cosmetic and body contouring procedures.
Dr. Rukmini Rednam specializes in all areas of Plastic Surgery including aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body. Her practice has a special focus on breast reconstruction and body contouring following weight loss.
In her free time, Dr. Rednam enjoys spending time with her husband Ethan, their beautiful daughter Zahra, family and friends, cross-fitting, traveling, and cuddling with their cat Billie and dog Annie.
