Dr. Rony Shimony is a skilled and caring cardiologist caring for the New York, NY community. Dr. Shimony attended the State University of New York in Buffalo, where he obtained his medical degree. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at Lenox Hill Hospital. He then finished his fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at the same institution.
Dr. Shimony is certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, and the European Heart Rhythm Association. Dr. Shimony and his team specialize in complex cardiac cases; integrating all aspects of cardiovascular, vascular medicine, coronary CT Angiography, cardiac risk reduction, electrophysiology and device (ICD/Pacemaker) management.
Dr. Shimony the director of the Mount Sinai Heart and Vascular Center Midtown. He has received numerous awards, including a special congressional recognition for outstanding and valuable service to the Community. He accompanies his wife in her non-profit work with Global Goods Partners and provides medical training, direct patient care in communities throughout Africa, Asia and Latin America.
