Dr. Robert W. Malizia is an emergency medicine physician and primary care doctor treating patients in the Staten Island and greater New York areas. He has eight years of experience managing life-threatening illnesses and trauma in an emergency department, which he applies to treating less severe, but still urgent, conditions in an outpatients setting. He sees patients of both genders and all ages and holds membership with the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
Born and raised in northern New Jersey, Dr. Malizia holds a close connection to the Staten Island and Wagner College community. His parents, the captain of the football team and a cheerleader for the Seahawks, met during their years at the college, and Dr. Malizia shares fond memories of cheering on the team with his parents and siblings.
For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Malizia attended Princeton University. He pursued his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania. At the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Cooper University Hospital, Dr. Malizia completed his residency in emergency medicine. He now offers a full range of medical services to his patients, displaying particular skill in recognizing subtle signs of more serious emergencies.
