Dr. Nass graduated from the NYU School of Medicine and completed both general surgery internship and otolaryngology (ENT) residency at the NYU-Bellevue-Manhattan VA Hospital System.He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of many professional organizations, and an Honorary Surgeon of the New York City Police Department.

He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the NYU School of Medicine. He has written peer-review articles and taught post-graduate medical courses in his sub-specialty area of Rhinology and Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, teaches medical students and ENT resident physicians, and created and directs the Bellevue Hospital Otolaryngic Allergy Clinic.
He maintains private practices in both New York City and East Hampton, New York caring for patients of all ages with all types of ear, nose, and throat problems. He is an attending physician at the NYU-Langone Hospital, Lenox Hill Hospital/Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital, Bellevue Hospital Center, and the Manhatttan VA Hospital in New York City and the Southampton Hospital on Long Island.
