Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Pou attended Tufts University for his undergraduate degree. He pursued his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Pou continued his medical education at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Here, he completed an internship program, received his residency training in internal medicine, and completed a visiting fellowship in hepatology. Dr. Pou has also completed a fellowship program in gastroenterology at Colombia University.
Patients visiting Dr. Pou can receive a full range of gastroenterology services. He provides colonoscopy, disease screenings, endoscopy, CT scans, and general consultations. Treatment is available for issues including hepatitis, constipation, stomach pain, sore throat, ulcerative colitis, and acid reflux.
