As the son of a hematologist/oncologist, I knew from an early age that this profession was my calling. I saw the long hours and hard work my father put in – but I admired him for the patience and care he gave to all of his patients. He helped me to understand how precious life is, and that it is an honor and a privilege to be part of care of patients when they need you the most.
