Dr. Castillo received his undergraduate degree from Florida International University and his medical degree from the Howard University College of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco at Fresno and a residency in ophthalmology at Howard University Hospital. He is a retinal sub-specialist, having fulfilled a post-residency fellowship at NYU, which has broadened our practice scope in such areas as diabetes, macular degeneration, vascular diseases and hypertension.He has also participated in humanitarian medical missions in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the Philippines, performing and teaching local doctors eye surgery.
