Dr. McCann is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery for over 25 years. He has been committed to clinical practice and education his entire career and is currently Chairman, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Editor-In-Chief of The American Journal of Orthopedics, one of the most widely read professional journals in orthopedic surgery.
He has been recognized as one of the Best Doctors in New York Magazine since 2007, is certified by the American Board Orthopedic Surgery, a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Shoulder And Elbow Surgeons, and the American Orthopedic Association.
