He provides care and treatment for patients with a multitude of injuries, including ACL reconstruction and other knee ligament injuries, meniscus surgery and reconstruction, patellar instability, cartilage restoration surgery, shoulder and elbow instability, rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement surgery and clavicle fracture repair. Dr. Alaia graduated Alpha Omega Alpha from New York University School of Medicine. He then completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases and then completed his postdoctoral training with a sports medicine fellowship at the Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Alaia is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine.
