Dr. Steele, a native Floridian, received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida. He knew at an early age that medicine was his calling and was accepted into the highly selective Junior Honors Medical Program, allowing him to complete both degrees in seven years. While training at LSU, one of Dr. Steele’s mentors was a plastic surgeon who encouraged him to pursue further training in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. After completing his plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2006, Dr. Steele was invited to join the faculty to help teach young plastic surgeons in training. During Dr. Steele’s tenure at the University of Florida, he was heavily involved with teaching undergraduate and medical students, as well as general surgery, plastic surgery, ENT, and oral surgery residents. He received numerous honors and teaching awards for his tireless dedication and commitment to education.
