Laura Furey earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Bachelors in Health Studies from Boston University. Her clinical experience includes orthopedics, outpatient sports medicine, spine disorders, and acute neurological rehabilitation.
During PT school, Laura developed an Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program. As a certified Arthritis Foundation instructor, Laura taught each of the classes in the sold-out program, which ran twice every week.
Prior to starting at SPEAR, Laura spent two years working in an inpatient acute rehabilitation clinic, treating patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and amputations. Laura enjoys treating a diverse population with an interest in musculoskeletal disorders, post-operative rehabilitation as well as shoulder and knee pathologies.
During her free time, Laura stays active by hiking, and running. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and reading a good book.
