Dr. Lana Boter received a B.A. in Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 1991. She then did a year of research in Molecular Biology at Cornell Medical School, confirming her suspicion that she was more of a "people person". She received her M.D. from Sackler School of Medicine in 1996, and completed her training at Methodist Hospital in 2000. Since then, she has been in private practice as well as on the faculty at several hospitals.

She is Board Certified in Ob/Gyn. She loves every aspect of women's health care, and enjoys being there for all her patients' gynecological needs. Her special interests are Abnormal Pap Smears, Colposcopy, and Polycystic Ovarian Disease. She is married and has an irresistible puppy named Gypsy.
