Professional Statement:

  • When I first started my practice more than 10 years ago I wanted to create something that was unique and I would feel comfortable being part of as a patient. To create that, we had to start with the patient at the center of everything. Every new patient I see in my practice gets a full hour of my time. After a complete history and comprehensive examination, we come up with a treatment plan that best suits our patients' individualized needs. I see the practice of medicine as a privilege, where a complete stranger shares with me his or her most personal concerns. It humbles me to be part of their care. My passion is surgery, and I tell people that I'm lucky to have my work also be my hobby. Fortunately I've been able to push the envelope to what I call modern oculoplastic surgery, where procedures are less invasive, incisions are smaller and recovery is quicker. I've treated famous people, ordinary working people and individuals that live on less than a dollar a day, and in all I see the spiritual human connection as one of the most rewarding parts of my day.
