Nationally recognized for his expertise in cosmetic dermatology, skin care, and medical dermatology, Dr. John F. Romano has practiced at his West Village office for more than 25 years. A graduate of the Cornell Medical College (1973) and currently an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, he is also an attending physician at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan and the New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Romano did both a surgical residency and an internal medicine residency before completing his training in dermatology at New York Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Romano has been one of New York Magazine's Top Doctors for ten consecutive years. He has been similarly recognized by Allure magazine as one of the nation's top cosmetic dermatologists, and is a member of Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care, Who's Who in America, and America's Cosmetic Doctors and Dentists - A Patient's Guide. Dr. Romano also served on the editorial boards of Men's Health and Family Circle magazines, where for years he shared his experience and advice with their readers. In addition, he has authored articles on a wide range of dermatology topics for the field's most prestigious medical journals.
Dr. Romano spends a number of hours each week supervising a dermatology clinic at New York Presbyterian-Cornell Medical Center, where he instructs other physicians in the proper use of BOTOX® and Dysport®, as well as fillers such as Restylane®, Sculptra® and Radiesse®. Because of these efforts, Dr. Romano was voted "Dermatology Teacher of the Year" in 2006 by the dermatology residents at New York Cornell Medical Center.
