Although therapy is serious business, I also know that it can be uplifting. Self-revelation, when experience in the presence of another whose goal is to understand, can be life changing. There are many feelings that accompany this process; consider that one might be joy.
I am especially familiar with problems emerging from chronic childhood trauma, early hospitalizations, infertility, pregnancy, parenting, and divorce. These problems, which are so present in our society, can lead to depression, anxiety, dissociation, isolation, and despair.
