Dr. Angobaldo graduated from the University of Michigan in 1996. He then attended Wayne State University where he received a Masters in Biomedical Science in 1997. He graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in 2002.
Dr. Angobaldo has authored and presented multiple scientific papers covering many areas of plastic surgery including cosmetic, reconstructive, wound healing, congenital deformities, cancer reconstruction and trauma surgeries and treatment. His works are published in various scientific journals including the Journal of Urology, Internet Journal of Burns and Wounds, and multiple published works in issues of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Angobaldo also speaks throughout the country about laser liposuction and trains doctors nationally on the SlimLipo technology.
He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. His fellowships include NIH Summer Research Award in 1999 and a National Medical Fellowship in 2001.
Dr. Angobaldo is active in various charities and works with humanitarian organizations such as Partners of the Americas. Dr. Angobaldo has traveled to Bolivia to operate on pediatric burn patients in need of reconstructive surgery. In Haiti in April 2010, Dr. Angobaldo helped treat patients in the only trauma center available in the area where he was. He operated on earthquake victims with chronic wounds and in need of amputation as well as the more urgent cases involving accident and crime victims. Locally, Dr Angobaldo has provided many reconstructive surgeries Pro Bono. He is already planning his next humanitarian trip.
