Dr. Jamie Kane received his undergraduate degree from Columbia University. He earned his M.D. at SUNY Downstate and then completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Yale University. He created and ran Park Avenue Medical Weight and Wellness on New York’s Upper East Side for seven years. Dr. Kane has also long been passionate about chronic disease prevention and is a diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. Kane joined NYU Internal Medicine Associates in 2014.
Dr. Kane’s vision of patient-centered Primary Care includes screening for and prevention of diseases before they are diagnosed. As your primary care physician, Dr. Kane is responsible for all aspects of your health. In addition to treating existing medical conditions, he will monitor your health over the course of your life, and can help identify changes that could signal the onset of disease. And, because Dr. Kane looks at the broad picture, including your lifestyle and family history, he can help you find the best methods of staying healthy so that you can lead a long, productive life.
Dr. Kane prides himself on individualized care which includes a personalized weight loss program, customized exercise plan, personal counseling, and long term maintenance. Dr. Kane works with each patient to create a total health plan that takes into account individual needs.
