Dr. Illeana Serrano is a board certified pediatrician treating pediatric patients in Manhattan. She is part of Community Healthcare Network – a group of Federally Qualified Health Centers which offer quality, affordable care at a low cost to patients. She speaks English and Spanish.
Dr. Serrano strives to improve the quality of her patients' well-being by collaborating with them and setting attainable health goals. She takes the time to get to know each child and his/her parents through a comprehensive initial visit. Well child care including school physicals and vaccinations, as well as sick care is provided. Dr. Serrano has a particular interest in pediatric obesity and has spearheaded initiatives within the network to try to address this ever increasing problem. She has late hours once a week to help accommodate the working parents of many of her patients.
Dr. Serrano is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her undergraduate degree at Duke University and her medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
