Dr. Kassapidis is a graduate of the New York University School of Medicine in New York City and his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency was performed at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Kassapidis also completed a voluntary, one-year, Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute in Alexandra, Virginia, during which time he had intensive training under the direction of Charles A. Engh, M.D. in primary and revision total hip arthroplasty, as well as primary and revision total knee arthroplasty under Gerard A. Engh, M.D. Dr. Kassapidis also co-authored a paper with Dr. Charles Engh on "Revision of Loose, Cementless Femoral Prostheses to Larger Porous Components" which was published in CORR. Dr. Kassapidis is a Fellow in the Engh Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Kassapidis is Board Certified and is an Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital and The Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens. He is licensed in New York State.
Dr. Kassapidis' interests are in joint replacement of the hip and knee. He also provides general Orthopaedic consultation as well. Dr. Kassapidis also provides orthopaedic services in Astoria, where he sees patients two days a week.
