Dr. Alfonso had his undergraduate education at Dartmouth, his MD degree from Emory University after which he completed both his Orthopedic residency and his Hand Surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases at New York University. He has special expertise in arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, and in the diagnosis and management of upper extremity pain & nerve disorders.
