Originally from Madras, India, Dr. Govindaraj attended Loyola College to begin his undergraduate education. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Madras Medical College, followed by an internship program at Government General Hospital. Dr. Govindaraj continued his medical education at New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. Here, he received residency training and completed a fellowship program in pulmonary disease. He has also completed a fellowship program focused on clinical pulmonary disease research at the Downstate Medical Center.
