With a compassionate and friendly demeanor, Dr. Sagalovich delivers healing and diagnostic treatments for conditions like obstructive sleep apnea, abnormal nighttime behaviors, and excessive daytime sleepiness, among others.
All testing is done in a small-scale and comfortable environment. The staff works together to treat each patient as a whole; this includes a licensed psychologist, a nationally registered polysomnographer, sleep technicians, and trained medical assistants. Dr. Sagalovich is also triple-board certified in Pulmonary Diseases, Internal Medicine, and a diplomat of the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Additionally, he treats patients with breathing disorders that affect their quality of sleep.
Impressively, Dr. Sagalovich’s invention credits include two devices, one of which is a patent-pending device that can prevent mouth dryness in patients who are receiving treatment of Tiotropium Bromide (Spiriva). He attended medical school at St. Petersburg State Medical Academy, after which he pursued a rich variety of medical training. Dr. Sagalovich completed three residencies, in Internal Medicine, Urology, and General Surgery, at institutions like New York’s Brookdale University Hospital Center. He also completed a fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center.
These days, Dr. Sagalovich fulfills his desire to reach a wide range of patients by serving as an attending physician at hospitals like New York Downtown and Victory Memorial. He also stays engaged in his community by giving lectures on Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at New York Downtown Hospital and other venues. His research experience is strong, having serving as a principal investigator of four research projects at the Respiratory Disorders Center and Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Institute, including ongoing studies regarding the efficacy and safety of certain medications. Dr. Sagalovich has proudly served as Medical Director and Founder the Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Institute for over fifteen years, and he also offers consultation services in the Queens community once a week.
