Dr. Babak Sadoughi is a fellowship-trained otolaryngologist-head and neck surgeon, specializing in the diagnosis and management of the full spectrum of adult ear, nose and throat diseases, thyroid and parathyroid gland surgery, as well as functional and cosmetic disorders affecting the head and neck. In addition, he has advanced expertise in the care of the disorders of the larynx, including treatment of benign lesions and malignant tumors of the larynx, voice restoration surgery, voice medicine for performers, and airway and swallowing rehabilitation surgery.
Dr. Sadoughi graduated summa cum laude from the Pierre & Marie Curie School of Medicine in Paris, France. His postgraduate training in otolaryngology began at the University of Paris with a special emphasis on head and neck surgical oncology. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Sadoughi completed residency training in otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where he also served for several years as Project Coordinator of the Montefiore Otolaryngology Surgical Simulation Center. He subsequently pursued fellowship training in laryngology/neurolaryngology at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders under the mentorship of Dr. Andrew Blitzer.
Dr. Sadoughi is an attending physician at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology, and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and the Association for Research in Otolaryngology. Dr. Sadoughi is an active clinician, teacher and researcher, has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented his work extensively at local, regional and national conferences. His clinical and research interests include organ preservation in laryngeal cancer, care of the professional voice, and neural modulation of laryngeal function.

Dr. Sadoughi received his medical education from the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France. He completed two residencies, on at the Assistance-Publique-Hopitaux de Paris and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Sadoughi then completed his fellowship at the New York Center for Voice and Swallowing Disorders. His clinical areas of interest are in hoarseness, performing and professional voice disorders, aging voice, benign vocal fold lesions that include polyps, cysts, nodules, scars, and sulcus, as well as vocal fold cancer, vocal cord paralysis, spasmodic dysphonia, neurolaryngology, recurrent respiratory papillomatosis, tracheal stenosis, and swallowing disturbances.
