Dr. Andrew P. Trussler has been a leading board-certified plastic surgeon in Austin, Texas for over 14 years. With significant experience in advanced facelift, rhinoplasty, body contouring, and breast surgery techniques, he delivers comprehensive plastic surgery with compassion and care.
Dr. Trussler offers a broad range of surgical and nonsurgical procedures, including tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast augmentation and lifts, mommy makeovers, liposuction, and face and neck lifts.
He and his highly trained staff also offer nonsurgical facial rejuvenation treatments, including injectables such as Botox and dermal fillers.
Dr. Trussler graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he was a Dean’s Scholar and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After finishing his general surgery residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, he completed a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Trussler furthered his specialized training with a one-year aesthetic surgery fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, where he served as an assistant professor in the department of plastic surgery from 2007 to 2012, as well as the director of both the cosmetic residency and fellowship programs and the co-director of the abdominal wall reconstruction program.
Outside of his private practice, Dr. Trussler remains deeply committed to research and advancing the field of cosmetic surgery. His research interests include the biomechanical properties of the face and abdomen, comparison of facelift techniques, minimally invasive lower eyelid and cheek lifting procedures, breast reconstruction flap anatomy, and clinical body contouring procedures, including the long-term outcomes of abdominoplasty.
Dr. Trussler is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Austin Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Texas Medical Association.
