She completed her internship in General Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shrikhande completed her residency at NYU Langone Medical Center/RUSK Institute. She was a Clinical Instructor Specializing in Women’s Health Issues in the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical Center before joining New York Bone and Joint Specialists. She started a Women’s Health Musculoskeletal outpatient clinic at Well Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Shrikhande provides individualized, comprehensive musculoskeletal care specializing in the diagnosis and non-operative treatment of joint, muscle and nerve injuries through the use of selective ultrasound guided injections, medication management and appropriate physical therapy programs. Dr Shrikhande believes in assessing the entire person with a holistic approach that focuses on decreasing pain, improving function and improving quality of life.
Dr. Shrikhande is a fellow of the Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the New York State Pain Society. In addition, she is a fellow of the International Pelvic Pain Society.
As a physiatrist treating Women’s Health Issues, Dr Shrikhande is trained in the evaluation and treatment of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, pelvic pain, sacroiliac joint pain, musculoskeletal conditions of pregnancy and post-partum, osteoporosis and exercise, treatment of chronic migraines using Botox, treatment of fibromyalgia, and sports injuries of female athletes. Furthermore, she performs electrodiagnostic tests, such as EMGs and nerve conduction studies, to aid in the diagnosis of muscle and nerve pathologies.
Dr Shrikhande lives in Carnegie Hill with her husband and daughter. She is a modern art enthusiast and is an active member of the Guggenheim Museum. She enjoys playing tennis and golf, and is a member of the Women’s Golf Association at Trump National Westchester Country Club.
