A Toronto native, Dr. Yeo completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in both Human Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto. A Toronto native, Dr. Yeo completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in both Human Biology and Psychology at the University of Toronto. He is a Board Certified specialist in both family medicine and sports medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
Dr. Yeo completed medical school at St George's University, then a family medicine residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, and finally, a primary care Sports Medicine Fellowship at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa in San Antonio. During his training, he had the opportunity to cover many different sports and work at all levels of athletics including high school, Div I and II universities, and professional teams and events. He worked with the San Antonio Spurs and Silver Stars, the PGA Tour, Cirque du Soleil, the San Antonio ballet company and the minor league affiliates for the Florida Panthers and San Diego Padres.
Dr. Yeo also served on the medical staff for several mass participation events including the Philadelphia Triathlon, San Antonio Rock n’ Roll marathon, and the Keystone state games.
His sports medicine interests include concussion management, hockey, basketball, martial arts, running, strength training and using exercise as a vehicle for preventive medicine and healthy weight loss.
As a strong advocate for “exercise as medicine”, he believes sports and physical activity can be the ultimate vehicle to drive preventive medicine towards achieving optimal health. He has a passion for serving athletes of all ages and abilities, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging an active lifestyle.
