Like a lot of the patients that she treats, Dr. Salehezadeh grew up fearing and disliking her treating dentists. As an adult, when she opted for dentistry as her career choice, she vowed to be the polar opposite of the dentists she grew up averting. Her warm personality and superb dental skills allow her to do just that.
Born and raised until the age of 9 in Iran, Dr. Shawn (Shabnam) Salehezadeh found her way to New York City by way of Texas. Her story: Dr. Salehezadeh received her Doctorate at University of Texas in 2003. She then completed an elective year of additional training in California. Having experienced living on the West Coast for a year, Dr. S decided to try living on the East Coast for a year as well before permanently returning to Texas. (Must be fair to both coasts!) Or so she thought -- the move to NYC occurred in 2004 and Dr. S has been happily a New York City transplant ever since.
Dr. Salehezadeh and her friendly staff look forward to the various patients that seek care with them. When visiting Dr. S at Fine Dental, her patients have the luxury to stroll around Gallery 265 (an art gallery with a rotating roster of artists’ curated work) prior to their appointment. And when being treated by one of the gentle hygienists or Dr. S, patients can also take advantage of the Hong Kong-trained reflexologist giving wonderful massages. Overall, Dr. Salehezadeh and her office strive to improve the patients' experience and to have each patient feeling happy to have had the often-dreaded dental visit.
