In addition to his work treating patients, Dr. Shifteh participated in research examining “’vulnerables’ in biomedical research,” which was published in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry. In 2009, he was the recipient of the Johnathan J. Ship Award for Excellence in Clinical or Translational Research.
