Dr. Laila-Christine Assaad grew up in Montreal, Canada. She completed her college education with honors and decided that being a dentist was how she wanted to contribute to the health community. She continued onto dental school and graduated from the University of Montreal in 2009. Following graduation, it was important for her to further her dental education prior to starting in private practice. She chose to complete a general practice residency at Columbia University’s New York Presbyterian Hospital, one of the top 10 hospitals in the United States. This additional year of training allowed Dr. Assaad to further her knowledge and experience in treating patients who presented with more complex dental cases, as well as patients requiring special attention due to a more intricate medical history. Throughout her residency, she worked diligently alongside oral-maxillofacial surgeons, and was closely involved in cases such as head and neck trauma, orthognathic surgery and facial plastic surgery. Dr.Assaad is very devoted to her patients and believes a person's smile is the best asset one can have. A healthy smile not only makes you feel and look better, but it is also essential to your overall health. Dr. Assaad strives to stay up to date with the many advances in dentistry, allowing her to expand her services as a cosmetic dentist, thus providing the best treatment plan suitable for you.
