Dr. Alan Sheiner is a Board Certified Prosthodontist; a dental specialist in the restoration and replacement of teeth.Prosthodontists are the cosmetic dental specialists. Extensive training and education provide Dr. Sheiner with the skills for restoring optimum function and esthetics to your smile.
Dr. Sheiner is a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist who trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and is highly qualified to provide oral care for cleft palate patients and cancer patients – those who are treated with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or head and neck surgery. He handles routine dental care and is a specialist in implants and implant restorations, cosmetic and complex restorations, veneers, caps, bridgework and complete and partial removable dentures.
Dr. Sheiner attended Stuyvesant High School, Columbia College, and New York University College of Dentistry. While at Columbia, Dr. Sheiner played football and earned a varsity letter in heavyweight crew. Dr. Sheiner and his wife are avid cyclists and also enjoy organic gardening in their spare time.
At NYU College of Dentistry, where Dr. Sheiner graduated first in his class each year, he was privileged to accept numerous awards and honors, for his high level of scholarship.
