PsychiatristAbout Dr. Tejal Kaur
I am a Columbia/Cornell trained, board certified psychiatrist with broad training in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, academic psychiatry, research, and community based psychiatry that allows me to develop evidence-based treatment planning that fits your specific needs. I work with patients to understand their difficulties and treat to get practical outcomes, such as improving school or work performance, relationships, or self-esteem. I look forward to listening to you and learning more about you so that we can work together in helping you reach your goals. I work out-of-network with insurance companies, and most of my patients that use their insurance benefits are successfully reimbursed 50-100% of my fees, depending on their insurance plan. More about me: I treat children, adolescents, and adults. I am an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons. I have presented at conferences, published scientific papers, and supervise trainees at Columbia University and NYU. In my private practice, I provide diagnostic consultations, psychopharmacologic management, and psychotherapy. If you are already in psychotherapy, I will work with your therapist to achieve the best result. Evening appointments are available.
