About Dr. Joel E Kopelman
In 1977, Dr. Kopelman received his medical degree from the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry. Thereafter, he interned at Johns Hopkins, followed by a research fellowship in pathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. He then undertook a residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. After his residency, Dr. Kopelman began a second fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Orbital Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles (U.C.L.A.). Dr. Kopelman then went on to a third fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England. Through postgraduate education, he has pursued additional cosmetic surgery training at U.C.L.A., and other institutions.
