About Dr. Sari Kaplan

Do you experience an unusual amount of stress in your daily life? Have you become aware of the emotional, financial, or physical toll it is taking on you? Do you spend a lot of time worrying, feeling guilty, or feeling helpless? Or do you feel you get "stuck" when trying to accomplish your goals? These are very common feelings shared by people who have busy lives and feel overwhelmed by responsibilities. I would like to help you learn more effective ways to cope with these feelings so that you feel more effective and more relaxed. Individuals have unique needs and feelings. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all and I aim to tailor my techniques so that they are most helpful to YOU. We can work together to identify your unique vision of satisfaction, focusing on eliminating obstacles that get in your way. In addition, as a bilingual (Spanish-speaking) psychologist, I have over 12 years of experience working with Latinos in a variety of settings. With this experience, I have developed an understanding of some of the more common challenges faced by members of the Latino community in New York City. **PLEASE NOTE: I am unable to see patients who have any form of Medicaid insurance. Per NY state law, providers are unable to charge any fee to patients who have Medicaid coverage. As I am not an in-network Medicaid provider, this means that I am unable to charge any fee for services. If you have Medicaid coverage, please search for an in-network Medicaid provider.**
