The scope ranges from simple and complex laparoscopies to robotic laparoscopic surgeries for uterine, ovarian and tubal conditions. Dr. NIzam's expertise has been acquired from several years of training, special courses, teaching resident physicians at his affiliated hospitals as well as physicians internationally during his teaching sessions. Other special services are in the form of Urogynecology, which is performed in a unique two person team, the only team in New York City with a urologist and gynecologist (Dr. Nizam) working together routinely. Advanced vaginal surgeries range from operations for pelvic relaxation, bladder neck descent, prolapse and vaginal vault relaxation and include the use of mesh in selected cases. All patients have had a thorough gynecologic and urologic workup prior to selecting the best and simplest type of procedure that will manage their condition, individualized to the patients need. Certain patients may require more complex procedures which are performed only if simpler procedures may not be adequate for the particular patient.
