About Dr. Michael Berkson

I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychology from The University of Michigan, and, to this day, have a strong interest in the brain-mind-body connection. After graduating from Northwestern University Medical School, I completed a three-year internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. My passion turned to dermatology when I discovered that the specialty combined some of the most intriguing aspects of multiple disciplines within the medical field including internal medicine, pediatrics, pathology, surgery, and psychiatry. Being able to visualize people’s problems and see the positive results of treatment was especially appealing. This motivated me to pursue four additional years of specialty training in dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania.
