About Dr. Matthew Richardson

Dr. Matthew Richardson is a double board-certified plastic surgeon based in Frisco, Texas. He is one of only a handful of surgeons who are dual fellowship-trained in facial plastic surgery and hair restoration surgery. His philosophy is that patients should always look natural, and he strives to help them achieve the best version of themselves at his private practice, Texas Facial Aesthetics. Dr. Richardson received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, then completed a residency in otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. After that, he was selected through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to complete fellowships in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and hair restoration surgery with Dr. Daniel Rousso in Birmingham, Alabama at the Rousso Facial Plastic Surgery Clinic. He is certified by both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He’s also been the recipient of numerous awards, including a RealSelf Top Doctor in 2017 and RealSelf Top 100 in 2017. He also garnered multiple academic achievements throughout his medical career, from Outstanding Surgical Student at University of Texas Medical School in 2009 to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2014.
