Lawrence M. Koplin, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a native of Beverly Hills, California, where he attended both elementary and high school. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley in 1972. His medical training was at The Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he trained with noted heart surgeons Dr. Michael DeBakey and Dr. Denton Cooley, followed by a full five-year general surgery residency in Los Angeles prior to beginning his specialization in plastic surgery.
