About Karena Wu

Karena Wu is the owner and clinical director of ActiveCare Physical Therapy. She is a New York State Licensed Physical Therapist and a graduate from the Program In Physical Therapy at Columbia University. Karena has 13+ years of experience in advanced manual therapies, the Maitland Approach and Practice Philosophy, and Myofascial Release. She is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, Kinesio and McConnell Taping Practitioner, and Pilates instructor. ActiveCare also hosts Maitland Continuing Education seminars. All of ActiveCare's therapists have been trained by Karena to take a holistic approach to physical therapy. We actively network with a team of physicians, chiropractors, acupuncturists and massage therapists, and we maintain professional memberships in the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. We are also affiliated with several other health care organizations located in New York City. We accept insurance but are out-of-network providers and will file for most major insurance plans.
