About Dr. John Mwando
Dr. John Mwando is a foot and ankle surgeon with extensive training in wound care and diabetic limb savage. Dr. Mwando attended the University of Nairobi, Kenya and earned his medical degree with concentration in infectious disease. After moving to the United States, he attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating with honors. Dr. Mwando completed a 3 year residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Dr. Mwando is an attending physician at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, Fifth Avenue Surgery Center, and Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Mwando is very committed to his patients well-being and is extensively trained in foot and ankle surgery with emphasis on wound care and diabetic limb salvage. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Outside of medicine, Dr. Mwando’s other interests include a love of soccer.
