Dr. Yee excelled as a student, graduating as her high school's valedictorian and then making the Dean's Honor Roll throughout her 4 years at the University of California at Irvine, where she was also elected to the school's Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. She earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado's School of Medicine in Denver. She completed her residency in Integrated Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Columbia, Missouri.
