About Dr. Bharat Sanghavi
Dr. Bharat Sanghavi has been practicing gastroenterology for almost 30 years in the Gramercy Park area. He was trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at Cabrini Medical Center in affiliation with New York Medical College. Currently, he is on the academic faculty of Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and continues to train specialists in gastroenterology and liver disease. Dr. Sanghavi has a special interest in colonic polyps and proctology for non-surgical treatment of internal hemorrhoids. He has recently received a special award for teaching endoscopy to gastroenterology fellows at Beth Israel Medical Center. He performs diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopies, colonoscopies and esophageal dilations. Dr. Sanghavi is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and is a member of the American Medical Association and New York County Medical Society.
