About Dr. Bernard Schayes

Dr. Bernard Schayes is an insightful, compassionate internist, and primary care doctor treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. He has more than 25 years of clinical experience treating a diverse variety of patients. The focus of his practice is the prevention of disease by diagnosis, management of chronic conditions, and maintenance of healthy lifestyles with exercise. In order to pursue his medical degree, Dr. Schayes attended the University of Bucharest. He has continued his medical education through studies at the Nassau University Medical Center and the Nassau County Medical Center, where he completed an internship program. He is now affiliated with the Beth Israel Medical Center’s Petrie Division, Lenox Hill Hospital, and the Mount Sinai Hospital. Patients visiting Dr. Schayes can receive a full range of medical services. He provides general consultations, annual physical examinations, and disease screenings, as well as treatment for issues including sinus problems, allergies, high blood pressure, migraine, sore throat, frequent urination, and illnesses. Care for addiction and alcoholism are also available. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Schayes is an active marathon bicycle rider.
